I hope all of the lacrosse seasons go well! I can't wait to hear about some great goals and defense! I hope there will be some tough players representing the Hart family on the field! :)
I can't even imagine skiing right now because this past week it was in the higher 70s and there was no need for a cardigan in January!
This week has gone by so quickly with having Pday on Tuesday instead of Monday! And I wish there was a way to slow down time just a little bit because I love it out here so much! Tuesday night we actually met the mom of one of our investigators, Iseal, who is from Mexico because it was his birthday. And she is so excited about going to church and she kept telling us how important it was that her sons went to church! And that was just the beginning of the week of miracles!
On Friday we were in the Visitors Center and we were in the back when a nicely dressed couple comes up to us and introduces themselves, as Elder and Sister Pino. It turns out that they were on an assignment to conduct our stake conference this weekend! He is from Venezuela and so when he learned that we were the Spanish sisters in the stake he was so excited! It wasn't until another missionary kindly asked what his calling was, that I learned he is in the first quorum of the Seventy. We aren't allowed to ask for pictures, and so after they asked us to take pictures of them he asked if we wanted a picture! And of course we said yes! The cool thing was that he conducted the conference in Spanish and had one of our members translate for him!
I think of the strangest events this week was when we were in some apartments on Saturday and all of a sudden we hear a woman yelling out, and we turn around and she is chasing after us from the other end. She asked us if we were from a church and if we could help her daughter have a better attitude. And so we told her that we would love to meet with her and her daughter and she said of course! Things were a little rocky when we first went in and started talking to her daughter, but by the end everything was good! And now we will put to the test how much teaching doctrine can change behavior! :)
As for Skyping Kate, she is an investigator that came onto Mormon.org chat and so in the Visitors' Center we are the ones who answer those chats and so after our chat the day she came on we have been messaging on Facebook and I answer questions she may have. She has her own missionaries in the Netherlands that she meets with, and so I am just another support in her process of conversion! And the other week we decided to Skype so we could meet "face to face" you could say. It was such an amazing experience!
We can't have that ponderizing scripture app, but that would be helpful. My scripture is 2 Nephibecause I want to focus more on the Savior and his Atonement.
Through the events of this week and my ponderizing scripture from last week I know Heavenly Father is mindful of all of His children and what they need in the exact time they need it! So just be patient and the answers to questions and prayers will come not necessarily in the time that we think we need them, but they will certainly come! We just need to continue to be diligent and do our part!
I love you all and you are all such great examples to me! I hope you all have a great week!
