It is crazy to think a whole week has gone by since skyping you, but it was a great week! Best of luck at the Day of Lacrosse and all of your other games!
It is amazing to see how Heavenly Father is able to reach people in different ways and the scripture that says He will speak to us in a way that we will understand is so true!
On Wednesday night we had a return mission join us as for our lessons, and it was amazing because we were able to have lessons with people that we have passed by for weeks and they weren't available! One was Hilberto, he is someone Sister Weight and I met one night while he was working on his car in the apartment complex, we talked to him for just a few minutes about three months ago. The amazing thing was that he remembered all of the conversation even though a lot of time had passed since seeing him!
Later that night we stopped by another new investigator, Maria, and every time we have gone over she is either about to leave for work or is sick. Well when she opened the door, she first said she was sick, but after talking to us for a few minutes on her porch she invited us in! After teaching and talking for a little bit she told us that her horoscope told her to accept invitations to meet to new people, and so she did! Sometimes the Lord can use different means to help His children listen to the gospel message!
Along similar lines, I was on exchanges with Sister Wisanbannawit, from Thailand, and we taught the sweetest lady named Donna! We were teaching her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and we read 2 Nephi 31. As we read the part about baptism she said, "Is he asking me to be baptized?" Sister Wi and I both chimed in and said yes! She is so excited to be baptized! It is amazing to see how the Lord truly fulfills his promise in 2 Nephi 31:3 to talk to His children unto their understanding!
It is always so much fun to go on exchanges with the other sisters because I get to learn from them so much! This week on Tuesday I had so much fun with Hermana Lopez! It is crazy because I came out to Mesa with her! And that night we had a lesson with a former youth group leader of a different church, who was taught by missionaries before, and when we invited him to say the prayer he was so willing! I have to say I have never heard a prayer so passionate, and he asked that any harmful thing that comes our way would be divided unto 7 pieces! When we left we were all a little amazed by his energy in his prayer, but a few minutes later when we thought we were being followed, his divided into 7 pieces didn't sound too bad! It turns out we were being followed by other missionaries that serve in the English ward, so it's all good! But both exchanges were so amazing!
I finished the Book of Mormon studying diligence and obedience, and I am so grateful for the example of Jesus Christ and his attribute to be obedient in all things! I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that every question that we have can be answered as we prayerfully study the scriptures. So if you have a question, write it down, say a prayer, and then study the scriptures! I know you will find your answers it just might take some time, but it will come!
I love you all so much! Enjoy the last few weeks of school before summer break! Don't forget your scripture study!
Sometimes your investigators try to communicate unto our understanding... "Sorry but we aren't going to here"
Sometimes you just find a cactus with cactus lights!
