One Day Older and Wiser Too! :)

May 30, 2016

Dear familia,
It sounds like yard work has taken over your free time little, but it is for a great cause! And I hope it all turns out like you planned or better! :) So if there are going to be s'mores is there now a fire pit in our backyard? :)

Memorial Day is not much different than any other Pday for a missionary, only Walmart is a little bit more busier and the members's children play in the pool outside our little apartment. We did play tennis this morning with the other sisters from the Visitors Center because it is the last Pday of the transfer. So that also means
transfers coming up this next week!

This week was so great! I learned so much! But one of the most important things that I learned was about studies, and my testimony of the importance of them and the blessings that come from them grew so much this week! Earlier this week we were meeting with a less active mother who is returning back to church, and we were talking about the role that Jesus Christ plays as our Savior and Redeemer. She then asked us a question about our responsibility if He already paid the price, and the amazing thing was that is exactly what I studied in the morning! So Heavenly Father blessed me to be prepared even though I didn't know I was going to have to answer that question later on that day!

Another example would be just a few weeks ago Sister Loynd and I were talking about the Lord's Prayer that is found in 3 Nephi when Jesus Christ comes to visit the Americas in a companionship study and the importance of how that is just an example of how we should pray. While we were in a lesson with Sixta and Julia, some of our new investigators, on Friday they asked us about the Lord's Prayer and it was a blessing to know where we could turn to it in the Book of Mormon! But another special part of that lesson is that it has been 2 weeks since we last saw Sixta and Julia because they can only meet on the weekends and last weekend they were out of town! We were so worried about how they would be able to progress because so much time has passed by, but when we came into their house we saw a Book of Mormon on their table! We asked them where they were at and they felt
bad they couldn't read more, but they opened up the book to 1 Nephi 9! They had been reading a little bit every day! We were so happy, so much so that Sister Loynd almost cried!

Another tender mercy was on Wednesday our lessons cancelled and so we were out finding in one of our apartment complexes. We have several former investigators there and normally when we stop teaching someone
we don't pass by for a while, but we felt like we needed to go visit one of my favorite investigators, Ana, who we dropped just a little over a month ago. So we went and knocked on her door and she answered! She let us in and as she was getting us caught up on what is happening in her life, she found a better job, she can go to school, she had a miracle of her light bill being paid for, her ex-husband has changed and wants to be a family and so many other great things! Well she then continued to tell us that she has been reading from the Book of Mormon
that we downloaded on to her phone every day! She will scroll and put her finger on the screen and read what ever verse her finger touches! And she said every time it is exactly what she needed! :) Power of the Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost! She said she isn't ready for us to teach her again, but she is reading and told us that we always seem to pass by when something happens in her life, good or bad! :)

God loves his children and will find ways to bless them with what they need as they keep His commandments! He loves each one of you! Keep doing what is right so He can bless you!

I love you all so much! Have a great week! And enjoy the beginning of summer this next weekend!

Con amor,
Hermana Hart
